Hi bwatson,
Detail and section views get labeled by default with their identifier and scale. If you double-click any view, the Drawing View Properties dialog appears and this will display the scale value for that view. If you want to label a base or projected view, you'll need to do it manually via Text.
Thanks,
Chris
Seven years onwards - is a manual text box still the solution for this?
I usually use Inventor which autmatically attaches a View Identifier to the Base View.
The Base Drawing Scale has been automatically assigned for years, if you add it to your title block. This scale covers all your standard views while Section Views and Detail Views are automatically reported separately. So as you can see you need to check your facts and template design before you start complaining.

I didn't complain about Fusion not being able to display the drawing scale - I'm aware that this is not an issue.
My question was whether Fusion is able to diplay the name and scale of each view (Plan, Front Elevation, Side Elevation etc.) above or underneath the corresponding view or whether I need to create a manual text with this information. Fusion does this automatically for Section Views and Detail Views - but I can't find an option to label all my standard views - other than creating a text.
In Inventor it looks like this:
Jhackmey1972 this is not the question that was being asked. Responding with "So as you can see you need to check your facts and template design before you start complaining." is just completely unnecessary and uncalled for especially on a platform that is aimed at finding solutions.
Maybe you should READ the question being asked before making an absolute fool of yourself on a public forum, or better yet just don't respond with your dribble.
