You can do it in Inventor but I don't see where to do it in Fusion...
Hi @Anonymous, thanks for posting here. View cropping is not a supported feature in Fusion 360 Drawings. You can, however, create a detail view, which is a cropped and enlarged area of an existing view.
Can you give an example of the type of view cropping you need to do please?
Thanks,
Timera
Hi Timera,
Cropping a drawing view would be a really useful functionality. Are there plans to add this feature?
Cheers,

Hi Timera,
It has been a year or so since this inquiry - has Autodesk made any plans to add this feature to Fusion yet? Are there any new alternate solutions to view cropping?
Thanks,
Bill
Hi,
There isn't a feature that allows you to do that in the drawing workspace yet
I guess the View Detail is the closest thing to get what you want, but if you delete the original view, the detail will disappear as well

Add it to the Idea Station, hopefully after getting enough votes it will be implemented, which I guess it will soon
Regards
Creating a detail view is the best workaround today. Note that you can always place your base view of the detail view off of the sheet and simply use it as reference, if you don't need the additional view taking up space on your drawing.
We have several new view types that are on our roadmap, including broken views, cropped views and auxiliary views. Keep an eye on our Roadmap Mural to see when the item you're looking for gets started with the development team: autode.sk/drm
Best,

that roadmap link failed, but when I searched for a roadmap separately I could only find the 2016 one - can you reply with an active 2017 roadmap link?
Hmm, sorry about that. Try this link: https://app.mural.ly/t/timerahart2/m/timerahart2/1475171276107/0945259b7c22117012173ea2be3c9151fec1f...

We need this please!!! A circle takes too much unnecessary space if the shape of what you need to specify is square for example.
