Hi guys, I'm pretty new to fusion, but I just finished a RC foamboard model of a J-17 and I was wondering how do I convert this to 2d where I then can then laser cut or print? I tried meshmixer 3.5, but I found that it wouldn't show the lines, just the outside but not the lines that I need to fold. I have AutoCad, but I just downloaded that today. I would really appreciate some advice!

Thanks!

To get bend lines you would have to use only cylindrical or conic bends.

I suspect that you have a lot of warped faces in there.

AutoCAD will not be of any use for your problem description.

Autodesk Inventor Professional 2020 has an Unwrap tool that can return flats from warped faces, but again you can only get bend lines from cylindrical or conic (or perhaps Lofted Contours).

Students, faculty and schools can download Autodesk Inventor Professional for free from the Autodesk Student Community.

I've done some fairly interesting things along these lines with the help of Pepakura

Thank you TheCADwisperer for replying and giving a solution. I'm still pretty new to Fusion, and as you know I just got AutoCAD, so for now I think I got my plate full. I will at some point look into the features Inventor has, so thank you for pointing that out. I'll see if pepakura works, but if it doesn't for some reason I'll download inventor.
