This is a project I am working on

if I link this project into a blank project and then break link, I get this 👍

How can I do the same thing, without creating a new project, link/insert and remove link, and then overwrite the old project?

Better to plan your components from the beginning, but if need be you can select bodies from the browser, right click, Cut, select a component and Paste.

Hi @Haider_of_Sweden,

  1. Create a 'New component'  (Internal)

  2. Drag and drop the bodies inside the newly created component

Thank you both. I had trouble moving the objects into a Component. The component became active, and I thought by clicking/selecting the bodies, I would somehow include them into the Active Component.

Ctrl X/V or drag/drop solved it 🙂

just for the records; I imported a DWG with solids, so the planning was not in my hands 😊

I noticed that the Bodies "folder" is still there after I moved stuff from it to the new component.

Does it fill any function? How can I delete it if I wanted to?

You cannot delete Bodies folder from Browser. As far as I know once there is no body inside this folder it won't be displayed anymore. So generally if you have it, there is something inside, but I might be wrong.

I thought so too, that once it was empty, it would disappear by itself. it did not.

Does Fusion 360 have "hidden" objects, like e.g. AutoCAD blocks?

Not being able to delete the Bodies-folder isn't a big deal, but I thought that I could ask and learn if there was a way 🙂
