How do I hide all sketch constraints?

I'm working on a sketch and the constraint icons are getting in the way. How can I hide them all temporarily?

Thanks

Luke

If you Finish the Sketch, the constraints will disappear. Could you use this to your advantage?

I'm not aware of any visibility switch for sketch geometry constraints in Fusion 360. I did note there was an IdeaStation request for this with only one vote so far. See below for details:

Thanks,

Nope, as the only reason they are an issue is because I'm trying to edit the sketch and with all these visible it makes it a chore to select/manipulate sketch entities.

I'll vote on that idea. Thanks

One thing that might help is to go to the select panel in the toolbar and in the drop down under filters, turn off sketch geometry constraint. This will avoid the constraints from being selected.

OK. so just to be clear, there's no way to hide sketch constraints?

When doing 2d design they clutter up the workspace like crazy and make it really hard for me to focus on the form of my shape. I'm tempted to renew Illustrator so I can do my 2d design in peace. 😛

Hi please change your environment to "Photo Booth". It might be better.

Hi kingson, I use the Photo Booth visual style.

Thanks

Not to beat a dead horse, but this is not an environment I enjoy working in with all these constraints on the surface. I much prefer SolidWorks method to show constraints optionally on the drawing and also in a sidebar menu.

It would be SUPER nice to have the option that when you select a sketch element it only shows the constraints that effect that sketch element.

While I generally agree, you can make yur life a littel easlier if you keep your base profile as simple as possible and then add features to add detail to your model. For example the three little radii on each of the  slingshot arms could be a raduis feature from the modify menu.

Hey TrippyLighting,

Leaving fillets for post extrusion would definitely make it less cluttered... but doing the fillets pre extrusion makes it easier to gauge aesthetics of your flat. 🙂

If the sketch is editable you should see the sketch palette, uncheck the "Show Constraints" option to toggle the constraints off.

Where, exactly, is this found?  I don't see such an option but would love to have it.

Nevermind, I've found it.  Thank goodness too, because the visual constraints were driving me nuts, and I usually deleted them to get them out of the way.  🙂

This should be the solution to this OP. This, IMHO, is what the OP was looking for. I know it was what I was looking for.

The OP was here 4.5 years ago.

Things (sometimes)  change in 4.5 yrs.
