so I have a piece of stock thats cut exactly to size. its an enclosure for a small van refrigerator. the client needs vents cut in and a rectangle at the top. the vent design and the other pocket procedures went just fine. my issue is the rectangle thats to come out at the top. I can't select the three lines without selecting the entire contour around the body. does anyone have any idea how to do this? ive selected the area im trying to take out with my cnc. thanks in advance.  JC

I did not have your model so I created something similar to show how to select the open pocket contour.  Take a look at the Screencast.

If it just a contour cut you want, hold down "ALT" whilst selecting it. You can pick single lines that way.

If you want to pocket the area out, then draw a rectangle in a sketch that fills in the open edge and use that as the boundary.
