How do I create a pattern and then hide or disable or supress the source feature?

Actually I need to create a symmetric circular pattern with even number of elements (4 in my case).

I have two options:

1) Create a pattern of 7 elements and supress elements 2, 4 (source) and 6. But I can not supress source in the pattern menu.

2) Create a source feature in anothere plane with another angle.

I don't like the second option as it will need to calculate all the offcets and angles, create extra construction planes. If I will need to change the number of elements or the pattern step - I will need to recalculate and move the source feature each time. And finaly I will break the symentry of the part which looks bad.

Is there any possibility to do the option 1?

Delete, not Suppress. Attach your file here and end all doubt.

Here are few alternatives I need you to try

1. You could simply extrude the holes which you want to delete and set the preference to JOIN

2. Right click on the source and select Remove

3. Hide to source, but if its just a geometry, the holes will remain as it is.

You will likely receive a number of workaround suggestions, but the majority, if not all of them will break if for some reason you decide change the number of patterned instances.

The direct functionality you are looking for within the pattern tool does not exist.
I come across limitations in the pattern tool quite often and this is one of them.
