How can I cut this spline?

To loft the head part, want to cut this highlighted spline using "break" in the sketch mode. But the ribs are made after and is referenced by the spline, so when I enter "edit sketch", it appears like this, with no ribs.

How possibly can I cut this spline??

P.S. I want to cut this spline with the first rib from the right.

One way to time travel is to:

  1. Create a new sketch in the top node.
  2. Project the rib to the sketch (Do not select Projection Link).
  3. Close the sketch.
  4. Move it to earlier in timeline.
  5. Open the spline sketch.
  6. Project the new rib to the spline sketch.
  7. Trim.
  8. Delete the new rib sketch if it's no longer needed.

hello, @Anonymous take a look. yellow elements and sketches are very dangerous for further work. please solve this problem in any case. right click on the element and the option Unbenann1t.PNG

Looks like you need to go back and clean up your timeline a lot. Combine all those sketches which lie on the same plane into 1 sketch. like the Side profile only needs to be one sketch which traces the canvas image.
Also remove planes you defined that are identical to other planes.
That will make it a lot easier to manage and solves a lot of reference errors, which can all be referenced off the initial sketches really...
I have nothing better to do right now so ill draw up what I mean in a while 😁

This example isn't perfect.. I should have drawn the Side view using splines because along the line you'd want to use them as rails. Also should be fully defined as you'll be coming back to add/edit a lot when lofts don't produce the correct result.
Almost everything positionally was placed in the first sketch so Planes could be referenced at precise points (Offset plane > To Object). If I need to create a new Plane I would roll the timeline back to when what I want to reference was created or to keep planes in sequence from back to front.

What I'm suggesting is to just do everything as far back in the timeline as possible. Projections will definitely fail along the history if things aren't planned in advance.

I didn't create all the Planes in one go, but they're grouped as if they were, due to that Rollback habit.
