How can I add a 45 deg chamfer (full closing edge) on the selected edge?

I have this model and I'd like to add a 45 degree chamfer ( ? ) that connects the top lip to the other part.

 Like so

Not sure if the model is needed but I've attached it.

Hi,

The bodies have only one contact but no overlap where you can create a chamfer.
