Trouble with body to shell

I have a nice body ready to shell.  (couldn't loft a shell)

I modify>shell>body7>4mm>inside>okay

No error message 

no new body no shell that i can find

you did not remove any faces.  Is that what you intended?  The shell was successful:

I edited the shell to remove a face.  Is this what you were after?
