What sort of solid geometry are you expecting to receive from that sketches outline ?

You can go into patch mode, unstitch and split the surface bodies individually.

No I'm still having trouble with the surface on the left side of the model, it won't split/separate.

Can you post the model file you are working on, Go to File -> Export and save as a .F3D Archive File and attach it to your next post

As @TrippyLighting said, it is hard to work out just what bits are needed for the trim tool,

the plane at the end of the model is not apparently aligned through the body,

Working from file from first post, and yes a wonky set of manouvres so far, why is there one line per sketch near the end of the timeline?

Can you add more detail for what you want?

Basically I just want the sketched outline that I've done to split the 3D model into two parts

Good luck with that,

there are as many as 8 possible plenes involved in the sectioning lines,

It's just that one plane on the left that wont split

What sketch number is the one to use for splinting the model there are a lot of sketches on the left side and only sketch planes no planes

I don't fully understand, if you could split the model as intended and attached it to this post I'd be very grateful

Your original file does not have any Construction Planes, the Origin planes are on the top corner.

The article that looks like a plane on the Origin is the profile from the original plate you made, before the chamfers.

There are 15 sketches on the end of the time line, each has one line in it.

We haven't worked out where to split the model yet.

@Anonymous Take a screen grab of what you wont and open it in paint and draw an Arrow where you wont it split
