Help with a second assembly

With lots of help from this forum I have created an assembly (front binding) that works well.

I have to create a second assembly in the same file.  It contains a grounded component (pin die) that is not included in the first assembly (front binding), a mating component (pin shape) that is not included in the front binding. This works fine.

But the two assemblies are over top of each other. This isn't a problem because i can turn of visibility as required.

The problem is I would like to connect a component that is included in the front binding left bent arm, in the pin die assembly.  This does not work out....I suppose I need a new instance of this component????  But of course I have no idea what a new instance is, or how to obtain it...

I would be grateful for any help.

I will not include the modified assembly as the video will allow you to execute the creation of an instance yourself.  Pay close attention to the video on the difference between creating an "instance" copy and a "unique" copy in the new assembly.
