Help lofting between two heart shape sketches.

I am trying to loft between two similarly shaped heart sketches, but I keep an error regarding "One or more of the profiles have multiple edge loops. Try reselecting the profile."  I tried getting the loft command to work by using rails but was not able to make any progress with that either.  Thank you.

Hi @main2839

Thanks for posting the query in the community.

There are a few self-intersection areas in the profile, which do not allow you to create a loft body.

Take a look at the .f3d file and the attached screenshot.

Thanks,

Thank you for your help, how would I identify and fix the self intersection areas in the sketch profile?

Hi @main2839

Thanks for the reply.

When you try to perform the loft feature, Fusion 360 throws an error message " One or more profiles have multiple edge loops". This is a clear indication of the profiles are self-intersecting each other.

Apart from giving the error message, there is nothing special tool for it.

Thanks,

Pramod

For this kind of loft, instead of using rails use the Keep Tangent option.

IMHO that should actually be the default!
