Help Importing Quad Mesh into Fusion

I am trying to work with scan data within fusion. So far I have re-topolized my scan data in Blender and have created a ~1000 face quad mesh from my original scan data. Now I am trying to import it into Fusion however my file is being converted to tri's. I have gone to preferences -> general -> mesh and unchecked the default "Triangulate Mesh Polygons" box however this did not solve my issue. I also re-imported my obj file so that is not the issue either. Also yes I checked and my obj file is indeed quads. Any help would be much appreciated. I have been trying to work with scan data for a while in fusion (I've watched all of the videos and scoured the forum) but have had no luck.

How are you importing the mesh, are you using insert mesh or uploading to the cloud, you should be using insert mesh. Have you got a file you can upload here so we can test.

Before inserting the mesh with "Insert->Mesh" turn off the timeline by clicking on the root of the browser and selecting "Do not capture design history".

Once the mesh is inserted, find the mesh body and convert it into a T-Spline.

Then you can decide if you continue your modeling efforts in the direct modeling environment, or if you want to turn the timeline back on.

I currently have the same problem and have tried many different applications such as Blender, MeshLab & MeshMixer all to no avail. The original question remains and I have followed the tips in the reply - I would appreciate any new ideas/tips on the matter.

Cheers, J.

The original poster has marked this thread as solved, so it helped him.

You may want to provide more specifics and maybe a file/model so we can figure out what "same problem" means.
