I'm working on a pendant for my wife for her cruising group. I'm was able to get the text imported but I'm having trouble getting it to emboss into the image. I would really appreciate help showing me what I am doing wrong. Thanks! I uploaded it to the gallery already..

An image on a canvas is two dimensional, I don't think you can emboss it. Embossing in Fusion360 usually is taking a face or text and extruding thru a 3D body. You may want to look into using Inkscape, a free, open source program like Adobe Illustrator for manipulating 2D images.

Hi Dirk,

can you upload the file or a screenshot showing what you want?

Thanks I have creative cloud so I can take a look at Illustrator. If I come up with a solution I will make sure to share it!

Hi,

1. create your graphic in Illustrator and import it to Fusion

Thanks! I'm making progress. Actually there's only one letter (the last N in Caribbean) that does not want to cooperate. I've even went as far as redrawing it in Illustrator and bringing it back in but I can't seem to be able to select it.

My only other issue is how to create a hole through the top of it where the cylinder runs through.

Thanks again for all the feedback and help!!

Here's the link to the current version. 🙂

Hi,

1. activate : > capture design history

2. create sketch on the top surface > circle > stop sketch > extrude /cut/all

N was broken at 2 points

Thanks for all the help! Once I put a loop for a chain on the top I'm ready to send it off to shapeways to get printed. Wife loves it!!! Smiley Happy
