Help creating flat pattern to export a dxf from a mess of a drawing.

I received a file that is a mess.  I need to create a flat pattern for body 27 to be able to cut it out on a laser table so I am trying to create a dxf.  I am unable to get the body to unfold.  Any cheats or ways to make it happen with destroying the drawing so it still matches with body 1?

Here is just the body I need flattened for a dxf.  Any ideas?

Try exporting this particular body to step format and importing the single body into a new file.

Hello,

I tried that as well as re drawing just that body and still won't let me convert to sheet metal.  This is the second version of this and the first version worked great.  Still trying to work on it.

This element has incorrect geometry. Look at the transition between the flat area and the arc - they're not in the same place. Sheet metal modeling requires precision and adherence to many rules, which were violated here.

This is relatively simple geometry - badly done.

Do you still have communication with the original designer?

A couple of questions that I have would clear up the Design Intent.

I am just going to clear up the design so I can start fresh.  Thanks for the advice.
