General modeling error

Hello,

I'm working on a project that has a couple hundred bolts, nuts, and washers. In addition to ~60 other components. It's almost unusable at this point due to the number of parts, but that's besides the point.

I have some bolts in the main file that are a reference to another file. I went in and changed the bolt's material to stainless steel, I come back to my main project, update the references, and now there are about 5 errors that appeared that seem very unrelated. They are "general modeling errors" related to an extrusion operation. I did manage to get them fixed my simply editing the extrusion operation before the extrusion operation that was showing an error, hitting cancel, then editing the extrusion operation again, then hitting okay.

I don't mind sharing the files but there are multiple files linked together and the only way I know to share a whole project is to invite someone. Anyone from Fusion360 care to take a look since this seems to be an edge case bug?

Thanks!

James

If you go to the design overview in Dashboard you can export the whole design, click the icon I've highlighted and select Fusion Archive.

You might want to run "Compute All" Ctrl+b occasionally while designing, sometimes errors like you're seeing will show up after and you can fix them before you go too far.

That Ctrl (Cmd) + B trick is a great one! Just ran it when I had similar problem on another aspect and it solved the issues. Fairly confident it would have solved my original issue as well.

Thanks!
