I'm having this same issue.

Been using Fusion 360 since Feb 2016 with no issues, designed some furnature, used the program as recently as ~ 3 days ago. This morning, I'm getting the same AdCefWebBrowser.exe error as noted in the first post.

Starting at post #2, after restoring defaults and clearing user cache, this is the general sequence of events:

1) Open Fusion 360 - error message appears, program loads with no access to files.
2) Assume preference defaults have been reset and remain reset (because after resetting them once there is no option to do it again because I haven't changed any preferences).
3) Clear data cache restarts the program. When program restarts everything works. (Sometimes it is required to do this several times in a row before Fusion 360 starts without error)
4) Now that Fusion 360 is running correctly, close Fusion 360.
5) Start Fusion 360 again and repeat from step 1. (Except that sometimes I may be able to start Fusion 360 without error several times in a row before seeing the error again).

All I can comfortably say with regard to an established pattern is the following:
1 - I've seen it take up to 3 clear cache restarts in a row before things work correctly.
2 - after Fusion 360 opens up without an error, I've been able to close and re-start it normally up to 6 times before the error returns.

Needless to say, I've not changed any network settings this morning, nor in the past several weeks, nor have I changed Windows Firewall, which is the only firewall software present on the machine.

Jumping ahead, I went ahead and rolled back to nvidia driver 355.98. However, in my case, the issue persists with no discernable changes.

In the previous case, there was a conflict with the specific graphics driver that was being used. It may help to uninstall all previous occurences of graphics drivers and then re-install version  355.98.

If you haven't done so yet, it may also help to try clean uninstall of Fusion 360. Afer unisntallilng, install a "fresh" version from the Autodesk website.

I hope that helps!

Thanks,

Mr. Chandler,

If you read my post, nvidia driver 355.98 didn't solve the problem.

As for uninstalling and reinstalling, I notice that I can no longer download the latest version of Fusion 360 because I'm being asked for an educational profile, yey I've been out of school for a decade and am using the software as a hobbyist.

Anyway, after uninstalling and reinstalling (using the installer I'd downloaded previously) the issue persists.  I can eventually connect properly and access my saved files by clearing user cache usually between 1-3 times.

In another case, I requested a user start up in safe mode and eliminate some of the background processes that were running. In this case, the user received the below error message after starting Fusion 360, followed by a blank data panel.

The browser process exits unexpectedly. Please check:

1) You have internet connection;

2) Firewall blocks starting the browser process AdCefBrowser.exe;
3) Firewall blocks browser process AdCefBrowser.exe to access Internet;
4) Proxy setting in Preferences - > Network.
Do you want to try connecting internet again?

After eliminating the below processes, we found that Fusion 360 functioned normally.

1.. Apple Push
2. CurseClientStartup.ccip
3. Daemon Tool Lite
4. DivX Media Server
5. DivX Update
6. iTunes Helper
7. MPExtenededApplicationsServiceConfigurator
8. MPTray.exe
9. PlaysTVVideoRecorderByRaptr
10.Quick Time Task
11. Steam Client Bootstrapper

I haven't been able to confirm which process caused the conflict. Are any of the above processes running on your system? Perhaps you could run msconfig to eliminate all nonessential processes, restart and retest?

Thanks,

I was having the same issue. In my case it was the EVGA Precision Software that was causing the problem. Closing the software resolved my problem.

Thank you...closing EVGA PrecisionX worked for me as well.
