Fusion just stoped running because I have windows?

Hello,

I just went to log into fusion today and I find that errors out when starting. It says that Fusion 360 cannot be ran on windows. I have work to do using fusion and this is fairly infuriating.

I tried to reinstall the program and get the same error. see the image.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Just to check - have you ever had Fusion 360 working before? Personally, I have not seen this error in the past. I'd love to take a peek at your log files to get a better idea of what is happening. Can you send your installation log files to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com. You can find the installation log files by following the steps in this guide here.

I have used it to run my machineshop for the past year.

I have used fusion as recent as last tuesday. I will get the files once I
have a sec later today.

Thanks for that! Can you do me a favor and try something. Can you open Windows Explorer and go to:

C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\64cd1225aaecdd36644b12e5453e4d4c995e22b0

Please note to find the App Data folder you may need to enable hidden folders from the control panel. Once in that folder, you should see a program called Fusion360.exe and FusionLauncher.exe. Can you try to run Fusion360.exe (not the launcher) and see if that works? If so, I think your shortcut may have gotten messed up. If this runs like this, can you please send me your FusionLauncher.exe file to james.youmatz@autodesk.com (you may need to zip the file so it doesn't get blocked by email servers).

I cannot find that extension in my fusion folder. Suggestions?

Hi @swimleft,

Could you find the production folder? In that folder, there should be some alpha numeric named folders. If you sort them by date, the most recent one should contain the Fusion360.exe file.

Whoops! Looks like I was signed in under the wrong account. The post above is still me!

So, I went to find the file you asked for. I could not find the .exe file. 

BUT, the good (or bad) news. I decided to just uninstall Fusion and try reloading it again. This worked and now I am back up and running.
