Fusion is not saving a file

I have spent some time and lots of work developing a project.  But Fusion has stopped saving the file.  In the Data Panel I get a continous spinning disc.  How can I get my file to save without losing any data?

I would start by making a local archive file for safekeeping.

Next I would try the following:

1. Work in Offline mode

2. Open the data panel

3. Locate and open the design that needs to be synced to Autodesk 360

4. Save a new version of this file while offline.

5. Go back online with Fusion 360

Does the design sync when you go back online?

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I tried creating a local archive, but apparently this is not possible when the file containes Components

However I took the software off line and did a save as, then went back online.  The new file could not be uploaded either.

Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks

Keith.

Can you post the diagnostic log files here? They may help to reveal some further information regarding the issue.

Diagnostic Log Files_.png

Have you tried creating a local archive file from the A360 Dashboard? If you have a distributed design, a design with external references (XREF's) to other components, then the design will need to be exported from the A360 Dashboard.

You can access the A360 Dashboard by selecting the shortcut in the Data Panel..

A360 Dashboard.png

...Or by logging into the dashboard in your webbrowser:

myhub.autodesk360.com

Then you can go throught process of exporting an F3Z file format. The isntructions are in the bottom half of this link.

I look forward to your reply.

Kind Regards,

Diagnostocs files attached.

I have just downloaded the archive from A360, but I would prefer to keep my local file since it is more up to date.

Thanks Keith.

I believe the two files below are the local versions that are trying to be uploaded. Do the names Chassis b v76 v0 and Chassis match with the files that will not save?

Type open library in terminal to access ~Library directory in Finder.

~Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/***/W.login/F/Chassis b v76 v0.5e445c8f-cf54-474f-ba96-fbfd1effdd00.f3d
~Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/***/W.login/F/Chassis.c6e99077-2c20-49b8-a7e9-aa53a4cd973a.f3d

I'm still looking for root cause information, server or local side. In the meant time, you may want to back-up the above file in your upload queue.

You may consider renaming and re-uploading them in the data panel to see if they are the right files. I hope this helps. I will be back with further information as soon as I have some.

Thanks,

Ok, I've followed the instructions in the DM I got but this did not resolve the issue.

I think I have tracked the problem down though and I can recreate a software crash.

I have downloaded the latest Archive version from A360.

I then copy and past the component "Sensor PCB" from my local corrupt file into the new Archive file.

the operation when it does wrong is as follows:

In the new Archive file, I update the assembly "Line Sensor Array" so that component "IR PCB" is no longer visible.

I then go back to the Chassis assembly and update the outdated component.  Fusion 360 then crashes. with the support code CER_121829249

Hope you can help.  Many thanks.

Keith.

Add error reports

CER_121829351

CER_121828791

To that list

@innovatenate He's crashing into a known bucket that appears to be data related. FUS-19920. Can you get the crashy data set and attach it to the bug report?

I am having a similar issue.

Fusion is not saving my current work, although it appears to be saved locally.

I have attached my diagnostic logs.

@neljoshua apologies, but this is likely related to the current outage we're experiencing.  Please see here for additional details and updates:  http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/a360-unexpected-server-error/td-p/5976108/pag...

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was able to re-open the file (after having to force quit Fusion).  After restarting, the other versions uploaded and all appears to be well.

Just a heads-up, we believe we have fully restored all cloud services and you should be back to normal.  If anyone is still experiencing any issues, please let me know.

Nathan,

It looks like we are running again.  I attempted to backup and received an error message saying that it cannot export and archive a file with links attached.

Thanks for the update! Are you able to export the archive file if you use the export command on the A360 Dashboard (web browser)?
