Fusion Exports Blank DXF files

Hi All,

Trying to export some sketches and Fusion is just exportin blank files. Upon some googling, it turns out that the files are not really blank it's just the format is really, really old.

I am trying to convert the DXFs to a PDF (or a printable format) and am stuck because the DXF files F360 creates seems really old.

I've download TrueView 2026 and whilst it opened the files, they were blank.

So any ideas on how to convert these to PDF, and or what programs is actually capable of opening the old files so I can export them as a newer format.

Example attached.

Thnx.

Hi,

I was able to open and edit the DXF in ACAD, Inkscape and V-Carve.

Can inkscape or vCarve export/re-save to PDF? I dont have a ACAD license.

There are any number of online DXF to PDF file converters.  You do need to make sure the DXF will fit on a Standard 8.5 x 11 inch sheet to use most of them.  Here is one to try.

The random online one I tried gave a blank page so I assumed they all would. Cheers.

Hi,

1. Inkscape > Save as > PDF (activate option "object size") * >>   Attachment

2. Inkscape  > Print > Print to PDF

3. Directly from Fusion
a) extrude the profile (save)
b) create a drawing in custom format at a scale of 1:1
c) Print > print to PDF > select Size in PDF creator ...

*If this option is not activated, only the area of the selected document size is displayed.

This may be in an area where there are no lines. You might then think that it is generally blank.
