Hi,
how to force Fusion to rebuild patterns after changing one of them.
I've got in sketch two patterns - rectangular and from this patter is made circular.
When i change first one, second one don't update. I must edit second one to force it to update.
Second, very iritating problem is that there is no possibility to add items to edited patterm in this case circular. Only possibility is delete all objects ant then add new one.
Third, in rectangular pattern - when editing - fusion looses direction. It's very frustrating to edit it from begining and not so easy.

The sketch pattern behavior I believe is functioning as designed. Adding a Feature Request to the Fusion 360 Ideastation is the best way to get new features. The link for the Fusion 360 Ideastation is below.

The second item does seem like it is not functioning correct (at leasta to me). I have submitted report to development for further investigation, reference ID FUS-20715.
Could you clarify a bit on the third item what is meant by "looses direction." Do you mean that when you edit the rectangular pattern after creation, the Direction(s) field no longer has a selection associated to it?
Thanks,
Hi,
First - maybe is functioning as it has been designed. But i think that is badly designed as this is CAD aplication and i belive parametric.
When I make pattern nr2 which is made of pattern 1 and when i change pattern 1 - program should change all objects in pattern 2. This is logical.
Second, thanks i belive that is some kind of bug (like first one) 🙂
Third, let me explain in pictures.
First one is how I made pattern (pattern-ractangular.jpg)
second one is behavior after editing (pattern-ractangular-edition.jpg)
Fusion after editing loses item in "direction/s" but it still shows that is selected item. You must delete relationship in this filed and then choose it again.
I understand that you are looking to nest sketch patterns to make updating more automatic. The current functionality's limitation is that the patterned "Objects" are sketch entities like lines, circles, etc.... You are not actually patterning a "pattern." You'll note that you cannot select the pattern "icon" in the sketch workspace as an "object" in the pattern dialog.
Since this is a feature enhancement request, I've created one on your behalf. Please add kudos if you would like to see this idea implemented.

Thank you for confirming the third issue. I have sent development a report to investigate this issue further as well, reference report ID FUS-20758. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
