Fusion crashing when attempting edit of timeline...

Today is my first day of using Fusion after the update on Wednesday. I'm working on a fairly simple design and Fusion starting crashing when I attempted to make simple edits to items in the timeline. Any timeline edit would cause a crash. See the attached Screencast example. After several edit attempts and crashes, now the file, upon opening, causes Fusion to "stop working". I'll also give the link to the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll create a new file and see if this behavior continues.

I created a new file, modeled enough to have a few items in the timeline, but didn't see any issues. I went back to this file and it opened fine. I made a simple timeline edit and it worked, without a problem. A few minutes later, it tried to edit a sketch, and the problem appeared again.

I should note, these aren't crashes that trigger Fusion to bring up the crash reports. The option to submit a crash report has never come up with any of these "crashes". This is the message:

Maybe this is more of a Windows or system issue with some part of Fusion?

The problem isn't connected to the timeline, but parametric history altogether. Attempting to edit a sketch directly has the same effect:

Hi @mcramblet,

Thanks for sharing the design.  As you've discovered, this appears to be a problem with this model specifically, so having the data is a big help.  We will get right on this, to see what we can find out.

Thanks for looking into this. I've been poking around into it too, and my guess is that there is something about the fillets at the end of the timeline that Fusion doesn't like. I can scroll back a little bit without the crash, but once I get to some of those fillets in the timeline, it crashes. Likewise, if I try to edit anything before those fillets, I crash. I've exported the file version out of A360 before any of those fillets took place, and the file doesn't have any problems. All of this leads me to think that there is something evil going on with the fillets.

Hi @mcramblet,

Your debugging was spot on.  Those fillets are the problem features.  There is something wrong with the geometry data that those generated.  Our parametric dev lead was able to (in the debugger), avoid loading the bad data, and then do a Compute All to regenerate it.  The fixed file currently cannot be opened in the production version (newer format than the current production version).  If this design is important to you, we'd be happy to apply the same trick to   Right now, in our debug environment, the new design seems fine, so we are not sure how it got into that state.  If you have any clues as to how this happened, let us know.  We will continue to try to analyze the design, to see if we can learn anything.  Thank you for providing the design

@jeff_strater, thanks for the info and confirming what I thought. I don't need the design fixed, once I went back to the "pre-fillet" state, I continued from there and didn't have any problems from that point on, even after adding the fillets back into the model. I don't recall anything happening, out of the ordinary, until Fusion first started crashing due to the fillets. Everything seemed to be working fine, up to that point. The only other thing that I noticed during the problem was that after starting Fusion back up, I wasn't ever given the opportunity to open an auto-saved version of the file. When it wasn't offered on restart, I went to look manually, and there wasn't any auto-saved versions saved. I checked my preferences, and it was still set to auto-save a version every 5 minutes, but, at least for this file, it wasn't working. If I end up recalling anything else, I'll report back.

I have the same problem with a model.  Fillet operation in timeline crashes app with the same windows dialog.  Not sure if there is a work-around in case this happens in the future but before I remodel the object, I thought I would ask.

Fillet4 in timeline cannot be deleted, edited, suppressed, or time marker cannot be moved before the Fillet4 operation.

Thanks,  Jim

I was able to perform the following enabling me to delete the problem Fillet operation without fully recreating the model.

Create "New Design" with once saved;

Imported the design with the problem Fillet;

performed the "Break Link" command;

Saved New Design with imported;

Edited timeline, deleting the Fillet.
