fusion crashes upon updating a component

when i try to update a linked component to get the latest version fusion360 stops responding then just closes without any error message etc, many of my projects seem to get this issue although this isnt limited to all of them,

any help would be appreciated

This would help us to determine when the error occurs and what would cause the freeze.
