Fusion 360 will not open after working in offline mode

I worked in offline mode for about 4 hours today and when I reconnected to the internet Fusion 360 crashed. I tried to reopen the program but got an error "Autodesk Fusion 360 cannot be opened because of a problem". I restarted my computer (an earl 2011 Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8gb of memory running OSX 10.10.4) and tried openeing Fusion 360 again, only to get the same error message. I have important work I don't want lost that has not been synced to the cloud yet.

I have attached the "problem details and system configuration" that was output with the error message in case that helps.

I fear if I reinstall the program I will lose all the work I did (which was successfully saved moments before I attempted reconnecting to the internet).

I have struggled with using Offline Mode since getting Fusion 360 and feel it is incredibly important to have more accessible files, especially if this issue is something I may be faced with again in the future.

Has anyone had this issue and found a good solution? Is there a way to obtain a copy of my files editted while in Offline Mode so as not to lose them through a reinstall?

Thanks in advance for any advice

-Nick

Hello

I like to start with fusion360 because it runs on apple.

But there is no good support if you have a problem.

How is our problem solved?

Did you lost data?

 Hi @Anonymous, @Anonymous,

please could you try follow these steps if that helps:

Mac OS
1. (Close Fusion 360) In Terminal, type the below command and press enter

open ~/library/

2. In the Subsequent Finder window (Macintosh HD > Users > %Profile% > Library), browse to

~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Web Services

3. In the Web Services Directory, locate the file LoginState.xml
4. Right click on LoginState.xml and select Move to Trash

5. Restart Fusion 360

One more thing to try (I have a hunch this will work):

Mac OS

1. (Close Fusion 360) In Terminal, type the below command and press enter

open ~/library/

2. In the Subsequent Finder window (Macintosh HD > Users > %Profile% > Library), browse to

~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Neutron Platform/Options

3. In the Web Services Directory, locate the file NMachineOptions.xml
4. Right click on LoginState.xml and select Move to Trash

5. Restart Fusion 360

Thanks,

Regards,

Josef

I just had the same thing happen on my Dell laptop.  I was offline without knowing it and when I try to open Fusion now, I get the same error "Autodesk Fusion 360 cannot be opened because of a problem". And it crashes every time.  Got any help for those of us on a Windows platform?

Similar issue.

Was working offline most of the day because of all the issues (https://health.autodesk.com/history?filter=dnxd6vr78xwf) and now when I try to open up fusion it jus...
I've tried to uninstall, reinstall, repair, reset, reboot, update drivers etc nothing.

The network connection test passes perfectly, and all the autodesk processes are at 0% cpu in the task manager.

Really annoying that this worked better while using the free personal version, and now that I decide to pay for the subscription, Its been broken more times that up in the last few days

And completely annoying..

But the last line on this page: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Nothing-happens-wh...

Finally caused the window to open up, changing the main monitors around. Seriously.. this is an issue with a paid for product by Autodesk... I guess somebody should update that as well to include windows 11 to the list of OS's
