Hi,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community! You'll find tons of great suggestions and people here.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. I'm a little confused by what you mean when you say there is no step 10 window. Do you think you can send me a screenshot, or more preferably, a screencast of what is happening? You can create a screencast by visiting the following website and downloading the software.

https://screencast.autodesk.com/

We are going to get this resolved!

Thanks,

Yep, just post it in this thread. The following picture shows how to do it in case you were unsure.

Hi Caleb,

For some reason in your tutorial, the menu for the extrusion got minimized. The picture below shows that the menu is there, it just got collapsed in order to save room. To maximize the menu window all you have to do is click the arrow (in the red box in the picture below) and that should do the trick!

Hope this suggestion helped and feel free to post any more questions you have. I'd be more than happy to help! Feel free to accept this answer as a solution if this worked for you.

Also, here are some links to some more helpful tutorials that include Youtube videos as well.

My question is about how the window that shows profile 1 selected shows up and how the direction, symmetry, operation, extents, drop down extrude window can show up on my fusion 360.

Thanks,

Caleb

Hi @Anonymous,

So all menus in Fusion 360 are collapsible and can snap to the borders of the window. In this case your menus are all snapped to the right border and the extrude menu is collapsed. In this screencast below you can see how to expand it and get the menu options. Hopefully this helps clear it up a bit! Please note that to snap the menu to an edge you need to bring it over until you see the green line signifying where the edge of the menu will lay.

Let me know if this clears it up for you or not. If it does, feel free to mark this post as a solution so others can benefit from it as well!

Cheers,

It's also been brought to my attention that sometimes when the menu is snapped all the way to an edge that the menus may appear cut off. If this is what you are experiencing you just need to resize the menu. You can do this by clicking the very bottom right edge of the menu (your cursor will change shape) and then dragging to the appropriate size. I hope this information is helpful and as always feel free to post any more questions you have!

I would have prefered to start my own tutorial thread for this issue, but fate lead me to this particular one. I do not think corrupt is a fitting term for the tutorial. I did find a way to make the mystery window appear finally. I used right click on the mouse and played with all of the selectible goodies until finally selecting properties. This caused the window to appear. After that I could make the adjustments and moving forward was simple.
