What is the easiest way to import a solid model step file into Fusion360 and then launch Sim CFD?

Hi @Anonymous,

Newer versions of Autodesk CFD (2016 and 2017) actually include a product called SimStudio Tools. It will allow you to make changes to your model with many of the tools you are familiar with inside of Fusion, but with has some features just for simulation users. You can check out the SimStudio Tools help for more information on what features are there.

Regards,

Andrew

Today, there is no add-in that will allow you back and forth (like the Inventor Add-In) with SIM CFD. You can however export and import as needed to modify geometry in Fusion 360.

I hope that helps!

Thanks,
