Fusion 360 help text only flashes, not permanent

Hi,

So I just recently started to learn Fusion 360.

Sadly, the text that is displayed when you mouse-over the menu options only flashes for a split second and then diappears.

(short video of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twbi5RVb0PI)

This makes the text unreadable und the different options hard to learn.

Can I change this functionality somewhere or is my best bet to reinstall the software?

Thanks for any help.

It works fine here.

However, in general it's better to go through the writen tutorial and al the trining videos if you want to get a better grasp of the concepts of Fusion 306. Some of them are differnt from what you may be used to from other CAD systems

Yes, I know about the tutorial section.

Would still be nice to have this help-signs displayed the right way.

Well, if anyone knows a way for me to fix it, please let me know.

Those menu tool tips are supposed to stay open until you move your mouse off of them. So there is an issue here that the Fusion team will look into.

Please run a dignostic file from here:

and send it to me at [email protected] and we'll see what the issue is. You might try restarting in the meantime to see if the issue persists.

Thanks for trying out Fusion 360!

As @StephenWolf suggested, I would first try a restart of your system.  If that doesn't work, a clean uninstall/reinstall seems to have fixed this problem in the past when another user ran into the issue here:  http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/tooltips-disappear-too-quickly/m-p/5706983#M2...

I have the same issue. My install isn't very old, and I do remember it used to work. Uninstall and reinstall might fix it, but I don't like that solution. I guess my preferences and other settings will then be gone?

Hi @mroek - the majority of your preferences are stored on the cloud, but you would lose some of your local settings.
