Fusion 360 crashes on startup and/ or when switching to render

Hi,

Since the last update, Fusion 360 crashes every time I use it - either during startup (in which case my entire computer freezes up), or, if I make it that far, when I try to switch to the Render workspace. I run it on an Early 2015 MacBook Air, 1,6 Ghz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Graphics 6000 1536 MB. Crash report says 'Unhandled exception'.

Is this a known issue?

Cheers

Maarten

Hi,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Unfortunately this is a known issue with your graphics card. The Development team is working on a fix and an update should be coming out shortly. As soon as I get more information as to when, I will let you know immediately. I'm really sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused you.

Cheers,

Hi @Anonymous,

Got great news for you. There is an update that is addressed to fix that graphics error scheduled to be released tonight!

Couple quick things to note though:

If you downloaded Fusion from the Mac App Store, the update might not be available to you for a while longer. The MAS seems to lag behind in their release dates as opposed to the Autodesk website. If you downloaded Fusion from the website you should be all set to go then!

If it turns out that you did download Fusion from the MAS and don't want to wait until they release the update, let me know and I will instruct you on how to do a work around for that.

Cheers,
