i never really cared about fully constraining a sketch, so teach me how to do it

what am i missing?

any sketch that is simpler will be easier to constrain. this looks to be symmetrical in 2 directions, so only sketching a quarter of it will help.
see attached.

Best I can tell, and I may be wrong, depending on where the 1.80 in the top left corner is applied to, but that seems to be missing in all the other unconstrained areas. There are also a lot of missing constraints that you have, such as in the radii but I wouldn't think all of those should be necessary for a fully constrained sketch. The only major thing I see missing is the dimension that says how wide the gap is, and the dimensions of the radii, ex. Rx.xx.

Note the top left piece doesn’t have an arc on it but the other three all have arcs on the corners.

key hint start with a simple sketch make sure it is fully constrained then move to next step.   All those arcs need dimensioning.

construction lines help they give you a place to anchor various points.

For complete constraints, drag and drop the blue lines to visually understand what is missing.

By moving it, you can intuitively see if you are missing dimensions or geometric constraints such as parallel, congruent, or tangent lines.

If your sketch is corrupted by moving a line, simply undo it with Ctrl+z.

Only the designer knows what conditions are missing in the lines that move.

Please try to move the blue line and add what seems to be missing.

First up?....Save your work....You've got a lot done there and invested many brainwaves to still be seeing "UNSAVED"

I did save after the screenshot.

What i didn't understand is, those lines that go from the corner to the middle, straight lines, vertical and horizontal i can understand and can constrain them, but not the others.

Also in the first comment above there is an example, and in that there are 2 dotted lines that are used for mirroring, what are those lines, i searched for those but couldn't find them.

Also, i get alot of overconstrain warning massages.

At least one oblique line needs an angle dimension, unless the angle is determined by other geometry.

Strange centre lines, are Centre Lines.  Sketch Pallette has Normal, Construction and Centre Line toggles.

Overconstrained - Fusion has already got that sorted.  You are trying to do it again.

Might help....

Hi,

I would further simplify the sketch and create fillets on the body.
