Fonts not selectable on Mac

I use Fusion both on my PC and my MacBook and have some difficulties with fonts.

On the MacBook it is impossible to select "sub fonts". For example: I have all Roboto fonts installed (Roboto, Roboto Light, Roboto Black, Roboto Condensed, etc.) but I can only select the standard Roboto font. On my PC I can select all of these sub fonts. But even worse: If I select e.g. Roboto Light on my PC, the font will reset to Arial if I open the same project on my Mac. Even though the same font is installed on the Mac and usable in other programs.

Hi @ykompis,

Thank you very much for your post in the Forum.

I have been searching a bit and could find a possible solution in this thread here.

Could you may check if this helps?

Thanks,

Hello!

Well it's not really the same problem in the other post. I don't get those red boxes in my sketches, because i'm not even able to select my installed font. The font i added on PC just doesn't show up in the font dropdown menu on my Mac. I just checked where my fonts are and they are in Library/Fonts and work in other programs. It isn't a problem with 2D/3D either because the font doesn't show up in Drawings.

I added two screenshots: One from Library/Fonts where the fonts are, and one from the Fusion where only the standard font shows up.

Most irritating thing about this is: Fusion doesn't care at all that it can't find this font. It just replaces it with Arial but there's no error message at all. Vectorizing my fonts and importing them isn't an option because part of the text is a serial number that needs to change every time i make the gcode.

Hi @ykompis,

Thanks for sharing this.

Could we may take this offline and we could chat in german?

I might want to have a look at your Mac to check  a couple things 🙂

Cheers,

I have this same problem: some fonts are replaced by Arial without any message of any kind. Has there been any progress on this issue?

Unfortunately not. But I'm pretty sure the problem lies in the text style selection.

Fusion doesn't allow any text styles expect for bold, italic and underlined. That means I cannot select any Fonts that are e.g. light, thin or black etc.

On windows these other text styles are displayed as a separate Font, on macOS they are just missing.
