Flat pattern comes out skew

For some reason when I try to create a flat pattern from a single part with no bends it comes out weird and skew. Anybody come across this before? File attached.

Thanks

@Llywellyn

Looks like an interesting bug, but -

do you really need a Flat Pattern of a flat part?

If yes, I can think of a workaround to get it to work.

I'm relatively new to Fusion so i'm used to creating DXF files from the flat patterns to send to my CNC machine shops. The work around I found is to export the sketch to DXF. Not ideal but it works. I kept thinking I made a mistake somewhere....lol

Well, my workaround didn't work either.

I tried different number of holes in the pattern and it worked for some but not others.

Hi! This behavior probably has something to do with how the face is evaluated for aligning the Flat Pattern orientation. The hole (extrusion cut) right at 0 deg seems to bother the routine. Move the circle slightly away from 0 degree and the Flat Pattern will work.

Many thanks!

This has come up before and a workaround is to put a small flat somewhere.

So you can see what I mean I create a 5mm flat, you can reduce this to 0.001mm so it's not really measurable on the part.

Now it will create the correct flat pattern. Note you need to delete the existing flat pattern and recreate. See attached file.
