fillet fails with mirrored part while working on other part

and both are the same

 

what could be the cause?

I'm not sure about the root cause, but I could think of some scenarios. Looking at the number of edges on the relatively simple geometry, it seems like getting rid of some these edges, could help the fillet compute easier.

One thing to consider is to add the fillet first and then mirror the body or component (don't mirror features).

Both sides are the same. Odd that one side fails.

I used anyway the mirror body to fix this.
