Hi All, can some one please explain to me how i can fill the attached design. It needs to become solid.
Thank you
Patch and Stitch.
I think you have at least two curves out of place.
Edit: Oh wait a minute. I just saw your other thread. Confusion reigns. You should have kept this in the same discussion thread. You are going about this design all wrong.
Do you have a picture of a real world device that is very very similar to what you are attempting to model?
Hi mate that was a perfect fit for its matching piece. See attached. Patch and stitch hey
I don't understand the purpose if the image in your last response.
I was expecting an image of something that already exists in the real world.
sorry here is a similar real life item. Could you please explain how to use patch to fill the form?
It might be a bit of time till I can get back to this, but I suspect that you are doing too much work.
Can you show image looking at bottom of pan.
I suspect this is uniform thickness mold extrusion in which case I would model only one side and Shell.
Much easier construction.
There are a few ways to tackle this. Here is a way that is easy to understand.
1. Revolve the smooth side 180 degrees.
2. Revolve the rigged side the other 180 degrees as another body.
3. Extrude the ends of the smooth side out far enough to intersect the rigged side.
4. Use Combine with the Cut setting and the Keep Tools option as required to separate off the excess bits.
5. Remove those excess bits.
6. I was a bit sloppy, so I revolved a cut around the exterior to clean it up.
7. Revolve the bottom and the lip 360 degrees.
8. Combine with the Join setting to turn it into a single body.
