So, I worked on a file most of the day yesterday. I finished it around 4:00 yesterday afternoon, and (thankfully!!!) exported a STEP file to share with my vendor.
I left Fusion open with the intent to fiddle with it a little more this morning. Big storm came through last night, power went off at some point, so when I got here today computer was off.
I opened Fusion 360, grabbed the file from the list (most recent version is v6) and started in on it. Realized quickly that it wasn't the right version, and now I have relized the version I have is from noon yesterday. So, roughly 4 hours of work has evaporated into thin air.
The good news is that I have the STEP file which I can re-import and continue to play with. But my confidence is very shaken with respect to putting time into a file and then having it go away. I won't say I completely understand how the offline/online file system works, but my presumption is that everything is cached locally and uploaded over time.
What should I be doing differently (I know I clicked Save multiple times after the version I have now) to make sure this can't happen again?
