File corruption fix coming

For those of you experiencing file corruption issues or issues with opening saved data (corrupt file - can not open file, error opening file not from crash ), we have a quality update coming tomorrow that will fix these issues, as well as a handful of other issues you've been reporting.

Related to the file corruption issue, we found that the workflow of projecting spline curves then followed by undo actions was causing this error. Please avoid this workflow for now until you get the quality update. Our current plan is to push it tomorrow night around 6 PM PST. We'll have a more detailed list of what is getting fixed after we lock down the changes and get ready for the push.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi,

The fix went live last night so if you run Fusion today you should receive an update to version 2.0.1516.

The fix addressed the problem that was causing the file corruption so you should not see these bad file created any more. Unfortunately there is no way to recover the bad versions. The best thing you can can do is look at the design history and restore the last good version.

In the datapanel, use the Item Detail punchout :

And then go to the versions tab and promote the last good version:

Hope this gets you back on track from a previous iteration of the design.

Thanks,

Bankim
