Feature Request: Multi-Select without holding Control (Win) / Command (Mac)

I would like the option to be able to multi-select without holding control/command. 

Its how AutoCad works and I find it gives me better flexibility/control when selecting multiple items.

It eliminates key presses and also the accidental losing all the selections up to that point when you miss holding down control on a selection.
