Fastener Library insert in Direct Modelling

Background:

I am a daily user of Solidworks and Solid Edge, and have some new projects in Fusion. In Fusion I use parametric for all component design, but use direct modelling for assemblies. This approach is the closest you can come to a workflow like Inventor/Solidworks/Solid Edge/Creo etc. History in assemblies is not necessary and complicated with all the capture positions issues etc.

Problems:

1. I am unable to insert from the Fastener Library into my assemblies (direct environment) since it can only be used in the parametric environment. This is undesirable as it limits our ability to use any environment we prefer depending on our workflows.

2. There appears to be no way to submit a feature request, only feedback hub. I am unable to locate any relevant feedback hub topic, so I an unable to communicate my issue to the developers, I hope developers read these posts for feedback.

To Developers:

1. Please consider adding fastener library insert to direct modelling environment

2. I hope the assembly design environment that was listed in 2023 roadmap is still in progress as I do not see it in the 2024 roadmap explicitly. If assembly design is what I think it is, it would bring Fusion more inline with other industry accepted parametric cad workflows.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

I agree that in a strict bottom-up design workflow, not capturing the history is verry beneficial.

However, in a properly assembled timeline based bottom-up ( and even top-down) assembly there should be very few if any capture position features. Using capture position features to locate components is simply the wrong to for the job.

I second the request for "Insert Fastener" to be enabled in direct modelling. Timeline in assembly is unnecessary, as long as you're not going to use it to create animated work instructions (the only use I can think of for it really). And it looks like the assembly works much faster without it. But the fact that I don't get to use fasteners forces me back into it. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in...

Also please allow some type of grouping for fasteners in the browser. I understand that the timeline pretty much groups them for you but if there's no timeline there needs to be some way to group them in browser.
