Failed Uploads

I don't know why it should be such a difficult thing to upload simple STEPs under 1MB. I've had 5 or 6 failed uploads this evening (Fri, March 13). I love this program but once again, being forced to use the cloud - which is slow to upload - and then which apparently sporadically fails to upload for no reason that I can fathom - just to get parts into projects is a total pain. I'm trying to work at speed on two assemblies - this really doesn't help.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for posting your question to the A360 Forum. Can you tell us how you are uploading the stp files? Also were you seeing any error messages in A360 when you were uploading them? Also how were you uploading these stp files? Were you dragging and dropping from a browser and if so, what browser were you using. Or are you doing this from something else like Fusion?

Let us know more details and we can go from there. Also is it that the files failed to upload, or that you are not able to view them?

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us and getting us the details on what you are seeing.

Hi Bud,

I can’t currently get into my dashboard as the system is apparently offline for maintenance today.

I used the upload icon in Fusion 360, then browsed to the files on my computer - the same way I’ve done it many times. No other browser was used. The progress bar went about 3/4 of the way to completion & then “Failed” message appeared in upload window - again for no reason that was apparent. Nothing unusual about the way I went about it. I even imported the file into another program to check the STEP itself and there was no problem.

I was finally able to upload via the A360 dashboard & and into Fusion.

Maybe this was just a temporary glitch, etc. Just a little frustrating when I’m trying to keep a creative flow going.

Thanks for your reply.

Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the update. I'm going to move your message to the Fusion forum, as it's happening in Fusion. They may have some idea what happened and yes, it could be a temporary issue that is no longer happening.

Yes are doing updates today and should be back on line tonight. Here is the link to the Fusion site and details on the update.

Thanks for the update and glad it's working now. And again, I will move this message to the Fusion forum in case there are any ideas on what happened last night.

Hi Bud,

Thanks for the update link - I just looked at the details - really excellent major update they're implementing. So I'm going to guess that my uploading problems were likely related to them prepping, etc. Just got a little frustrated last night - didn't mean to sound stodgy : )
