extrude feature does not contain full extrusion

hi,

I'm trying to make a parameter driven finger jointed box.

I can set the width,length,height,thickness and the amount of fingers per side.

for almost all the ribs of the box i can use the pattern tool but for one particular side i can't.

The problem is that I'm trying to pattern an extrude feature but there is a part of that feature (cutout) that is already extruded from another pattern. So ... my pattern only copies the part that is left to cut out and so creating an incomplete extrude --> the whole side disappears.

This is really hard to explain I hope someone will understand.

Hard to say without the file but are you selecting a feature for the copy.

Here for pattern type I set it to feature and selected the extrude from the timeline, I tried a simple test and it seems to work.
