Fusion Drawings - rotate a section view

In a Fusion 360 drawing, I created an aligned section view from a top view as the parent. The section line "A-A" is at an obtuse angle through the top view center. The section view cuts nice through the top view along the section cut. However, it is at an angle.

I want to rotate inline with the horizontal/vertical drawing axis. I can move it around the drawing. How can I rotate it?

Hi Kevin,

Not entirely sure I am clear on the request (if this doesn't answer your question please let me know).  When you are first creating the section view, the preview will change depending on which segment of the section line you are dragging perpendicular to. Once the view is placed you can't rotate it.

Thanks,

Chris

Thank you for the reply Chris. Yes, I can drag the sectional view arround the drawing canvas and it will change to a top-side-bottom view. At an angle it thinks that you want an "isometric view" which causes the image to be offset from the horizontal axis. I was trying to use the top view as the reference to create a cross sectional view. Is there a way to rotate the object then, before it is "placed?"

Hi Kevin,

Currently, no you can't rotate a view (during or after creation), orientation is based solely on how you drag the view out.  Would it be possible for you to end me (christopher dot miller at autodesk.com) a screen capture of what you're seeing, I'd like to confirm that the view previews you're getting are correct.

Thanks,
Chris
