Exporting to a DWG not working properly.

I have a client. Who needs my to deliver a model as an AutoCAD 3D model. I don't know AutoCAD so I modeled what he needed in Fusion and then exported it out as a DWG file. However when he opened it it was a mess. I mean a mess. He gave me a model that was started in AutoCAD. I imported it into Fusion. I added some components and the exported it out as a DWG. The components are all over the place and not where they belong and there is like 3 or 4 - 2D drawings of the same thing in random spots within the drawing. It was not pretty. And my client was not pleased. I need to get this figured out and I need to get this perfect. Any guidance whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. I have the before and the after DWG files if anyone would like to take a look. Just let me know.

Are the models you have to export to AutoCAD 3D assemblies or single components? If they are assemblies, do the assembly components have to be separate files in the exported AutoCAD 3D document?

Yes John they are several components assembled in one large assembly in fusion and yes the components need to be separate in AutoCAD.

@county1836 Have you used the Move tool and capture positions to create the model in Fusion? I've seen some chaos in exported models where components have been moved around (even worse moved several times) then exported. Seems to work OK if you build the bodies in place and don't move anything or if you need to build an assembly use joints to position parts.

Good idea to follow Rule#1 and build self-contained components. Not sure how reliable using create components from bodies works for exports.

Attach the files here.

If the data is proprietary then simply make up a dummy set that exhibits the same behavior.
