Exporting exploded drawing view

Hi

I have the attached model in Fusion 360. I want to export this to a FLAT, EXPLODED view that I can then use in my etching.

I can see how to export to a drawing but cannot work out how to get an exploded view of each part.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hey  @Anonymous,

Thanks so much for your question - this is functionality that is on our roadmap for this year, and we currently have the team working on laying the foundation to support this. In the meantime, depending on the output that you're looking for, there's a couple ways that you could work around to get an "exploded view" of your model out of fusion.

1. Manually Move the components in the model environment to get the exploded view setup that you want, then create a new drawing. Drawings are associative and will inherit the positional representation of your assembly or parts.

2. Use the Animation Workspace to create an exploded view using any of the tools in the Transform Dropdown, change Visual Style to Wireframe (or any other style you choose), and then Capture Image from the file menu dropdown. Note that this will result in a raster image (not vector or DWG).

I hope this helps you fill the gap while we work to bring a more complete exploded views in drawings solution. Please let us know!

Best,

Timera
