Exporting bodies as .obj

Hi,

Has there been any recent developments with regards to exporting individual bodies/parts as .obj?

Maybe there's a simpler way rather than converting them to components, etc. as it is not usable

to go through the pain of .stl to another app to separate parts, save out as .obj and so on?

Your wisdom is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Baran.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply but a few words as to how I could utilize that info

would have been great. Simply put, I cannot find a way to export a part as .obj. I know the way to get the model out

of F360 as a whole but no idea as to how to do it for parts. Please find attached a screenshot of having an item right-clicked.

Cheers.

Hi,

1. Rightclick Component

2. save copy as "Wing22"

3. open Wing22  from Datapanel

4. File > Export as .obj

Now I got ya! 🙂

Thanks a million. Although it would be quite handy to be able to do it straight from the initial

project window, wouldn't you agree? Anyways, maybe the Autodesk guys will take notice and throw that function in as

a Xmas present, or something.. 🙂

Thanks again.
