Hi NicolasXu,
thanks for your reply! 🐵
I'm from Germany, thus not a native speaker; so I hope you can
understand what I'm trying to say. :o}
I didn't save any design with threads */not/***modelled, yet, but I can
reliably confirm that a thread smaller than M6 can not be visibly
modelled in any of my projects, while any arbitrary thread dimension can
be created error-free if I don't tick the "Modeled" option.
Most of the time I don't need modelled threads because my parts (made of
GFRP plates) usually end up on my desktop CNC milling machine, and it
makes things easier to just have the bores designed for a 2D export (I
didn't use the CAM workspace in Fusion 360 until now).
Occasionally I try to create modelled threads for illustration purposes,
and when the "Modeled" option fails as usual while creating threads
smaller than M6, I simply stop creating these threads and leave my
components with their bores. That's OK with me, but sometimes I'd like
to have M3 to M5 threads being visible in my designs, e.g., for to show
the parts to a friend of mine.
If you'd like to experience this phenomenon at first hand, I'd offer you
a TeamViewer session; some weeks ago, another problem, which turned out
to be caused by my local Fusion 360 cache, could be fixed only this way
with a colleague of yours, since my project / design (to which I invited
him) behaved totally normal on */his /*PC; so cleaning up my Fusion 360
cache became a "daily routine" ever since then.
// Off topic
Another issue I frequently encounter in Fusion 360 is the following:
Sometimes my designs are being corrupted while uploading them to the
cloud, so there's an error message when I try to review them in A360
online (before showing them to a friend of mine)...
I consider my internet connection robust enough (broadband cable, 200
Mbit/s down, 20 Mbit/s up), but uploads seem to get stuck unnoticed by
Fusion 360 every once in a while, and the design is then rendered
unusable in the cloud.
Sorry, the corresponding error message is presented in German; in
English it reads like "Oops! We're sorry, a problem occurred while
preparing the file for display. Please turn to the helpdesk for
support.", see "Unrecoverable exit code from extractor: -1073741831":
Thanks in advance,
Marcus
