Expand and move hexagon with dimension tool

I want to expand this hexagon just a fraction of a mm to have a piece fit into it. Can this be easily done or will it be the best to make a new one?

I maybe want to move / adjust the distance from an edge to the hexagon if it needs to be adjusted a bit horisontally. How can that be done.

I post the file so you can see it. If I should have done something in a better way - please tell me.

You should fully define your sketch.

Try dragging blue or white geometry - what do you observe?

I had to guess your Design Intent. (See Attached.)

It should never be necessary to guess the Design Intent.

Thanks. Tried that, but I can not move the whole hexagon by setting a vertical and horizontal dimension as I would prefer. Maybe I have something to learn about setting up parameters. Offset works ok to get the right dimension, but I guess there must be a better option.

thank you so much for helping me out on this. I can see that you used another polygon with a center point and that will help me adjust the size of the hexagon without using the offset tool.

Do you have an idea how I can adjust the size of the rectangle in the sketch without altering it´s posision? I maybe need to adjust the size to make a fit for another component inside of it with a little tolerance.

Hi,

this is the situation in your sketch and one possible remedy

1. delete a doubled line

2. create coincident

3. constrain vertical & offset

@TheCADWhisperer  suggested a better way!

Thanks! That would definitely solve the problem according to the size, but I think the circumscribed polygon tool would be best to presicely adjust the posision.
