Hey guys,

I turned off Fusion 20 min ago, and now I keep getting this error after startup "Error during update."

That's odd, because, The last update was yesterday and everything worked fine, till now 😞

I have attached the log file.

Hi @Beyondforce,

Based on the error in your log file I think this is related to the incident we are seeing from this post here. The process should be working again however. Can you try to relaunch Fusion and see if the update goes through this time?

Thanks,

I have received that warning a few times tonight, I have done nothing with or about it, as Fusion as not crashed or fallen over, since the Update,

However, I did start a new file, and it's now got 5 Components, from start to finish work in this file, every "body" created was coloured as per component colour differentiation,

i don't use that, first I have seen it arrive with no apparent input for it from me.  I could not turn it off, the setting icon bottom right was unchecked, blank for that option, tried a few times.

File saved all ok with the hideous colour scheme confirmed in the Data Panel thumbnail.  Closed and came back to it about an hour later, Opened the file, normal colours reinstituted, but thumbnail was still coloured.  Saved and exported file half hour or so later,

With no components colours, and all appears normal,

its the little things like this that make you wonder, may be related, not seen any other post on Component colours - updated related?  Saw the STL stuff.

Hi James,

I have just relaunch Fusion and it seems the error is gone 🙂

Did you do anything? Because I have tried to relaunch many times before and it didn't help, but now it's suddenly gone.

Hi @Beyondforce,

Glad to hear it! I believe the streamer team has fixed the certificate issue on their end very recently which is why you are seeing it work now. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime, but glad to hear it is working again!

@davebYYPCU -  Can you confirm the update is working now too? Also, I guess I am a little confused as to what happened. Just to check - in the Inspect Menu, was Component Color Cycling Toggle turned on for any reason?

Thanks,

I've seen this error several times per week for at least the last 4 months. As far as I can tell, it doesn't affect anything.

Ok, opened Fusion, 11.28pm my time, few minutes ago,

the file has 5 versions in the history, the colour cycling check box on the "Timeline" settings icon, blank, not checked.

Inspect menu didn't see anything checked either, as said, didn't know it was on that Menu,

Took a guess and opened v3 - opened normal colours, did not promote it. Closed it

Tried to open v4 - spinning circles did nothing - opening document on message bar, nothing for 2 minutes or more.  Clicked in the window, browser panel flashed black background, then Windows (10) announced it was Closing Fusion.

Waited for normal cursor, Opened Fusion again, and dropped straight into Offline Mode.  The file is not there, so closed again,

Repeat, same straight to Offline.

Same Internet connection as this message, didn't lose connection.

So, now it's not working, presume server at the moment.

Thanks

HI Browny,

Have you tried "clear user cache data" from the Help menu?

Not tonight, but have done - usually have to do that if I don't wait long enough after save wait close,

Not seen it drop straight into Offline, unless I am not currently connected, last time was long while back.

I don't want to clear the Cache, as I think there maybe diagnostic stuff in v4, uneducated guess.  I can't even link the file now,

I guess you should talk to someone with more experience with Fusion 360. If it was me, I will clear the cache, you never know how much crap you have in there 😉

New day, opened Fusion, was online immediately, and downloading an update,

while that was happening, grey spinning wheel over the last design thumbnail in data panel,

Update -no errors, reboot, same spinning wheel, so deleted cache,

Restarted, and testing my luck, went to versions, found the Coloured Component version was v4, in mini thumbnail of that list.  Opened in normal colours, no errors,

All good here today,

I tried re-installing several times, cleaning all the rogue files...I even unzipped the nspylib.zip file to look at configuration.py but the it's byte-compiled python code and I couldn't be bothered to try to decompile it to see what's going on.

Thanks,

Charlton

Hi Charlton,

Can you try this:

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Go to /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Autodesk
  3. Move the folder "webdeploy" to the trash.
  4. Open a web browser and go to http://www.appstreaming.autodesk.com/install/app/73e72ada57b7480280f7a6f4a289729f/
  5. This should download the Fusion 360 Client Downloader. Open or Run the Client Downloader.

This should re-install Fusion with the latest release.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you continue to experience issues.

This downloads the installer that I re-downloaded last night. It has the same file signature:

MD5 (Fusion 360 Client Downloader {ta_m-id%3A918-FOD-433%26token%3A_mch-autodesk.com-1478145172804-15782} (1).dmg) = 9129ec8dfdaca2cef0d274ea7625b07b
MD5 (Fusion 360 Client Downloader {ta_m-id%3A918-FOD-433%26token%3A_mch-autodesk.com-1478145172804-15782}.dmg) = 9129ec8dfdaca2cef0d274ea7625b07b

I basically removed all traces of autodesk

find ~/Library -iname '*autodesk*' -exec rm -rf {} \;

as well as from $TMPDIR. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. 😞

Can you use Finder to see if the webdeploy folder was removed?
