Hello Everyone,
For the past couple of months I have been trying to complete a project (just on and off) but I keep getting stuck as I do not know what the best way to approach this is. I have a computer mouse which I really like but it's getting pretty old and worn out. So I decided to create a similar design in Fusion 360 and 3d print it. The electronic part of it isn't that difficult for me but actually modeling the shape of the mouse is giving me some problems.
The mouse I am using is a Logitech MX Revolution (see attached picture). I could see 3 ways of modeling it:
- Model using boxes / extrudes in model workspace and use fillets etc to round it off.
- Model it using a single or multiple lofts
- Sculpt it in the sculpt workspace
Personally I was thinking of using lofts but as the mouse is quite complex i'm not sure it will work. After creating a solid object I will probably use the shell command to hollow it out so I can add the electronic parts.
What method would you all suggest to model this mouse (and do you have any tips on tutorials to follow etc)?
With kind regards,
Ferry
