Edit Version Description

Is there a way to edit version description text? It appears possible to edit milestone descriptions, but not regular versioning.

No, as far as I know the Version number cannot be edited.  This is logical since the Application must manage this version number and it cannot interpret some fancy number or name we would give it.

We might be misunderstanding each other. I'm not looking to change the version number, but the description that you can optionally enter when you save a file, which defaults as "User Saved".

Like the version number, that description is not editable.  It is static to provide a record of what the user wanted to say when the model was saved.

I understand the "need" for consistent version numbers, but it's a shame the version description cannot be edited as it is not always what you wanted to say or want to keep as originally typed. Perhaps hit the enter key prematurely, or decided to change your labeling scheme. That is certainly a feature that should be changed/added.
