Easy selection of elements that are overlaid

I often have sketches where I have a dash line then on top of this a solid line, for example the dashed line runs from:

100,500 (x,y) to 200,500

Then on top of this a solid line runs from:

50,500 to 100,500

I can see both lines in the sketch, but selecting the top solid line is very difficult and almost always the dash line gets selected, is there some way of doing this that I do not know?

I tried it. And did not face any issue.

Can you share your model or a screencast video..?

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

Have a look at THIS for exporting the File..!!

Have a look at THIS for Screencast..!!

(If not screencast, you can record the video from other software too and share the video here..)

Thanks and Regards,

I cannot show that the two printed models do not mate in a screencast, that requires both models to be printed and a video created then uploaded, I don't have the resources to do this.

Sorry I was getting mixed up between two threads....its very simple, as I said originally, open Fusion 360, draw a line, press x to make it dashed, then draw another line along it exactly on top of it.

The question is how do you select one or the other because on the version I have:

Fusion 360, version 2.0.13162

macOS 12.4 x84_64 (21F69) on iMac17,1

This isn't easy at least I don't know how to do it.

I agree its indeed not easy and most of the time the underlying sketch gets selected but not the active sketch. I usually hide then the other sketch and then its works better. BUT ITS ANNOYING INDEED

But what if the elements are in the same sketch as mine are?

I guess the best solution would be to put them on separate sketches ?

try to long press your left mouse button, then you can select the sketch line in the dialog.

that should work
